Zai mu (宰目)

  • Zǎi (宰目): «Zaimu is for blessing [praise song], it is sung only in the temple. We prepare some sacrificial offerings and sing for a peaceful and safe life. It is praying for blessings, asking the Buddha to bless you so that you can live a good life, this is praying for blessings. Zai mu belongs to the Zai, just like zaijion, zhuai; they are all pray songs to Buddha» (Yu Kan La, personal communication, Manxi village, 2017).
