Tóng mǎ (同玛): The term tong ma (tong: “tide”; ma: “betel nut”) means also that girl “ties” the boy for herself or, as Ai Wen Lun explained: «the girl hold the boy, the girl chases the boy» (Ai Wen Lun, 2017). Among the Han people this type of song is called binlan but among the Bulang it is called tongma or toai.
